Katerina Ferraro, MS, CFP®
Certified Financial Planner
I grew up in Russia, which gave me an early appreciation for different perspectives and the importance of building something meaningful. That foundation has shaped how I approach my work and my life.
I entered the financial services industry in 2009 after working as a job developer, where I taught budgeting skills and personal finance. Watching people grasp these concepts and feel empowered showed me that financial education changes how people see themselves and their possibilities.
I hold a bachelor's degree from Westfield State University, a Master of Science from the University of Hartford, and have earned my CFP designation from Bryant University. As an active member of the Certified Financial Planners community, I consistently participate in conferences, seminars, and workshops to stay current with industry advancements and to further my professional development.
My real education, however, happens through conversations with clients, where I explore behavioral finance and help people understand their relationship with money. Every client has a story and cares deeply about something or someone. My job is to learn that story and build a plan that reflects their unique values and circumstances.
I specialize in financial planning because I believe wealth should align with purpose. When clients connect their investments to their goals and values, everything falls into place. They understand their risk tolerance better and feel more confident in their decisions. This is especially true with sustainable and impact investing; clients get genuinely excited when they realize they can grow their wealth while supporting causes that matter to them. Building investment models that reflect what my clients stand for is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Beyond creating strategies and running comprehensive plans, I work extensively on legacy planning, tax considerations, and charitable giving. These conversations are all part of understanding who you are and what you want your wealth to accomplish.
My family is my support system and inspiration. We love spending time by the ocean, playing sports together, movie nights, and enjoy our regular family dinners. These days, however, most of our weekends are spent at basketball gyms and fields watching my daughter play basketball or lacrosse, and my son playing baseball. I also maintain a strong wellness practice with yoga and meditation, and work out daily.
I am involved with Yoga Reaches Out and support fundraising for Dana-Farber and Boston Children's Hospital. I also frequent and support Wenham Meditation Center and Kripalu Center for Yoga.
My love for languages and learning about other cultures continues to shape how I connect with people.
I enjoy meeting new people, forming lasting relationships, and supporting others in achieving their goals authentically.
